Life Care Center of Andover helps patient recover from broken ankle

When George Asher fell at home and fractured his right ankle, he chose Life Care Center of Andover, Kansas, for his rehabilitation.

Asher was using a controlled ankle motion boot when he arrived on Sept. 14, 2016, and, as one would expect, he needed assistance with walking, balance and getting from one surface to another.

When Jimmie Townsley came to Life Care Center of Andover, Kansas, on July 19, 2016, he was very weak and required moderate assistance with walking, standing and taking care of himself. He was also experiencing confusion.

Townsley had fallen. He also had heart disease and chronic pain.

Life Care Center of Andover helps Shinwari regain function

After a hospital stay for a pressure ulcer on his toe and an infection, Mohammad Shinwari needed rehabilitation before he would be ready to take care of himself at home.

Shinwari came to Life Care Center of Andover, Kansas, on June 2, 2016. When he arrived, he was in a lot of pain and required extensive assistance with walking, bathing, getting dressed, grooming and transferring from one surface to another.

Life Care Center of Andover gets hip surgery patient home in 2 weeks

David Fowler had a speedy recovery from his total hip replacement surgery, thanks to therapy at Life Care Center of Andover, Kansas.

Fowler came to the skilled nursing and rehabilitation center on Aug. 5, 2016, needing help regaining his independence before he could return home safely. When he got there, he needed a walker to get around and had to have someone walk beside him to steady him.
